Nunn.ai Privacy Policy Effective Date: April 20, 2025

  1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Nunn Ventures, LLC (we, us, our) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use the AI search and Q&A services available at https://nunn.ai (the Service).

By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

  1. Information We Collect
  • Account Information: If you register or authenticate (e.g., via Auth0), we collect account details such as name, email, and profile photo URL, as provided by your identity provider.
  • Queries and Interaction Data: Questions you ask, responses, timestamps, feature usage flags (e.g., Pro mode), and limited conversation history.
  • Uploaded Files: Files you upload for context and the text extracted from those files.
  • Technical Log Data: IP address, User-Agent, operating system, browser, referring URLs, dates/times, and request performance metrics.
  • Cookies and Sessions: Essential cookies for sessions and usage counting; limited session storage on device for current interaction context.
  1. Information from Third Parties
  • Authentication: Auth0 may provide profile details as configured by your consent.
  • Payments: Stripe and Buy Me a Coffee process payments. We receive transaction confirmations and subscription status; we do not store full payment card details.
  • AI/Search Providers: To generate responses, we may send queries, relevant context, and extracted text to AI and search providers (e.g., OpenRouter, Google Custom Search, You.com, OpenAI Search) subject to their privacy policies.
  1. How We Use Information
  • Provide and Operate the Service: Process queries, generate AI responses, manage accounts, handle uploads, and maintain conversation history.
  • Improve the Service: Analyze usage and quality signals; troubleshoot; enhance accuracy and relevance; where permitted, use anonymized and aggregated data to fine-tune models.
  • Security and Performance: Monitor for abuse and threats, prevent fraud, and ensure stability.
  • Communications: Respond to support inquiries and send important notices.
  • Legal: Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
  1. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with:

  • Service Providers: Cloud hosting and storage (e.g., Google Cloud Platform), authentication (Auth0), payments (Stripe, Buy Me a Coffee). Access is limited to what is necessary to perform their services and subject to contractual protections.
  • AI/Search Providers: To generate responses, we send queries and context to third-party APIs. See Section 3 and provider policies for details.
  • Legal and Safety: When required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business Transfers: As part of a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction.
  1. Data Storage and Retention
  • Database: Account and usage metadata are stored in Cloud SQL. Retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
  • Uploaded Files: Stored in Google Cloud Storage. At present, no automated retention policy is enforced; files may persist until deleted or upon request.
  • Detailed Logs: Interaction and technical logs may be stored in cloud storage or local files. Currently no automated retention policy; we are working to implement one.
  • Anonymous Session History: Limited recent turns held in server memory for non-logged-in sessions (volatile).
  1. Your Rights and Choices
  • Access/Correction/Deletion: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data (account, uploads, logs where identifiable). We may retain some data as required by law.
  • Data Portability: You may request a machine-readable export of your personal data where feasible.
  • Cookies: Manage via browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect functionality.
  1. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us to delete it.

  1. International Transfers

Data is primarily processed in the United States (e.g., GCP us-central1). By using the Service, you consent to transfer of your data to the U.S.
